Process Bakhtiari Tribal Councils

Bakhtiari Tribal Councils are traditional self-governing institutions of the Bakhtiari people in western Iran, regulating social life, migration routes, land use, and conflict resolution through collective deliberation and customary law. These councils operate through consensus among clan leaders and community members, sustaining nomadic pastoralism and communal stewardship of territory in the Zagros Mountains.
