Process Mapuche Communities

From AltMap Beta

Mapuche Communities are Indigenous territorial collectives located in southern Chile and Argentina, known for their strong traditions of self-government, communal land stewardship, and resistance to colonial and extractivist expansion. Organized through local assemblies, traditional authorities, and territorial organizations, Mapuche communities exercise collective decision-making grounded in ancestral law and cosmology. Their struggle for autonomy, land recovery, and cultural survival constitutes a transregional process of Indigenous self-determination and radical democracy.
