In this session, Zo Randriamaro from WoMin first explains why African ecofeminist alternatives to development are critical to a just, decolonised and resilient post-extractivist future in Africa, and how they are building on African worldviews and political ideas such as Ubuntu and Pan-Africanism. Secondly, Nonhle Mbuthuma from the Amadiba Crisis Committee and Ange David from GRAIN share their experiences with communities in bringing to life such alternatives in real-world application.
